Hello to the wider constellation. You may not have realised there are RTF’ers in Scotland, but we have an exciting invitation for everyone. RTF is taking part in Coal Action Scotland’s Take Back the Land camp. The camp will be set in the Douglas Valley, south of Glasgow, where Scottish coal are ripping up the land for new open cast mines surrounding villages such as Glespin and Douglas, clogging lungs and decimating the land. The land is owned by the very rich Lord Hume who has strong royal connections and the mines are backed by local councilors.
As the RTF component we’re planning a community garden with a local community so need lots of hand on deck to help with planning, digging, construction and planting. We also hope to have a couple of RTF focused workshops and of course be taking part in what will be an exciting and important camp.
Also, please give us a heads up that you want to come along by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org (include the spelling mistake!) so that we know what interest out there is. If you have any questions let us know by this email address too.
We look forward to seeing some of you later in the summer.
